Garmin GPS-12 (borrowed from Lance's Dad!). Borrowed it to go into Ganaraska forest! My first ever experience with a GPS

Garmin eTrex (Sold on ebay). Garmin Chipset. Unit worked well and took AA batteries. Needed a clear line to the sky.

Garmin Foretrex 101(still on my mountain bike today!). Perfect for mountain biking. The bike mount made it work well. Runs on AAA batteries. I use rechargeables and carry a spare set. The unit uses a Garmin chipset and requires a clear line of sight to the sky. Heavy cloud or tree cover causes some drop outs. My review

Holux Gr-271 (used with my Dell Axim and sold with it). Excellent unit, worked well. SiRF III chipset.

Holux GPS Slim 236 (still have it). SiRF II chipset. Very sensitive. Replaceable Nokia battery!

Holux GPS M1200 (still have it). MTK chipset (Follow on to SiRF). Better battery life, not quite as sensitive. Faster initial lock. Very accurate

HP Ipaq 910C with builtin GPS. Has A-GPS. Inaccurate at first and sometimes wanders. Not as sensitive as the SiRF III.

Garmin Edge 305 (lost it) My review

Curtis GPD 359 (in my car). Very fast start up works well! Replaced the navigation program that came with it with iGo8!

Garmin Foretrex 401. Very fast start up works well! My review
